Valta is someone relaxed, though she becomes more serious when she deals with her kingdom's matters. She accords a lot of importance to justice, and basically puts her nose where it doesn't belong won't let someone in need alone. Even if the person is question didn't ask for anything. Because she knows they need help. Of course, that legitimates her STALKING HABIT "information gathering" . Valta also lacks common sense. She doesn't find anything wrong with chitchatting with someone carrying around a huge knife stained with blood, doesn't understand the difference between friendly skinship and molesting _{nor does she between caring and stalking}. The fact that she's quite resourceful is probably the reason why she still hasn't end up in a fishmonger's stall.

Once upon a time, in a land far far away... Or I should say deep deep in the sea, a little mermaid was born -yep, it's Valta- as the Atlantis King and Queen second child and first daughter. A few minutes before her, a merman, Kreis, had been given birth to. As the eldest, he was supposed to take the throne when he would turn 16. Compared to her twin brother, who had to be prepared for his future reign, Valta was rather free. However, as a child the mermaid was really shy and always hid behind her brother, so when he started to take lessons, she stayed with him and studied a bit too. As time passed, she grew more confident and started to go out more often and learn things like fighting. Despite that, studying with her beloved brother had become an habit and one of the rare occasion they could pass time together.
When the two were 15, there was a trend in the youngsters of Atlantis : sneaking outside of the kingdom and going on the land. This activity was usually reserved to buisness mermens and royalty, even though it wasn't forbidden. Like all the cool kids, she started to explore the 'land world', meeting other peole, discovering a lot of new things... Valta fell literally in love with this brand new experience, so much that even when the trend stopped, she kept on visiting the outside world. She enjoyed to make acquaintances of all sort a bit everywhere and was having a lot of fun.
However, the day when the twins reached 16, Kreis announced :

"I don't wanna be the king. I wanna become a SINGER."

"Good luck, big bro ! Don't count on me to cheer you on if you suck, though."

"...Is that so. So, what are we going to do then ? Make the plant sit on the throne ?" The King replied, unimpressed.

"...There is still Val, right ? We studied together, things will work out somehow _{I guess}."

The King shrugged. "Ah yeah, that's right, I forgot. Then, Valta, you take the throne.

"_{Thank you very much for asking for my opinion.} I will still be able to go outside... right ?" Valta asked.

"Yep."

"Deal."

This is how Valta ascended to the throne.

Valta loves open minded and easy-going adventurers, who will chat with her casually, or even take her to places since she doesn't like being treated too carefully because she's royalty. Knowledgables adventurers will also receive admiration from her.

She attracts most of the time robbers, especially pirates because they hope to find some secret treasure in her kingdom, and you can't say that her apparence is misleading in any way on her specie -if you look closely, she has scales on her shoulders-. _{Surprisingly, they are often male too hohoho ~}
